Hot Stone Therapy

90 minutes: $175
120 minutes: $220

Hot stone massage has been around for over 5,000 years as a way to reduce muscle tension and relieve pain. It is thought that the stones possess healing properties of their own and add a grounding natural vibration to amplify the massage techniques and bring greater benefit to the session. The stones are heated to a temperature of 120°-130° Fahrenheit, softening the superficial tissues, and allowing the therapist to release and work towards the deeper tissue issues without causing discomfort. Smooth basalt stones are used in gliding effleurage, stone striping, stone compression, and stone acupressure to provide a dreamlike state of relaxation and muscle restoration.

Benefits Include:

  • Reduce muscle tension

MFR works directly with the sympathetic branch of the autonomic nervous system and is performed with no lotion or oil. Reflexology

30 minutes: $50
60 minutes: $100

Reflexology focuses the entire massage session working the feet, hands, and ears. The theory behind this modality is, that since our feet are the foundation of our postural alignment and our connection to mother earth itself, the entire body can be relieved from pain and discomfort by working the meridians (or energy channel end points) in your feet with acupressure, ankle range of motion, and toe traction. Since our hands are very much like our feet and have similar energy end points, they are worked the same way as the feet. The ears, however, are more often used for acupuncture points, and thus receive only gentle squeezes and pulls of the cartilage in this massage style. This session will make your feet feel like you're walking on clouds and your hands feel like helium balloons. (floating!)

*feet and hands are the focus, ears are optional - 30 min session foot or hand focus, 60 min session foot and hand*

Benefits Include:

  • Stimulates nerve function
  • Reduces pain, stress, and anxiety
  • Boosts immune function
  • Balances hormones
  • Improves digestion
